A team of officials from Green Climate Fund have today sensitized the local leaders, youth and farmers on the Hydrological station (water level measuring station) in Tademeri sub county.According to Ms. Aimo Faima, a hydrologist working with Ministry of Water and Environment, she informed members that the main objective of the meeting was to create awareness on the purpose of the hydrological station in order to curb vandalism of the hydrological equipment’s.Ms. Aima called for proper management of the hydrological infrastructure by the communities.She further tasked the meeting to come up with a committee to manage the station in Irabi B.The project is funded by Green Climate Fund in partnership with Government of Uganda. The project that commenced in 2018 is expected to run for 08 years in the district.Among the stakeholders present in the meeting included; a team of officials from Ministry of Water and Environment, metrological district staff, local leaders, farmers and youth of Tademeri sub county.
